Living Legends was a community conservation project that was set up in 2011 to celebrate and leave a legacy of New Zealand’s hosting of Rugby World Cup. Bushy Point is one of 17 Living Legends planting areas throughout New Zealand.
Living Legends and Bushy Point
The Living Legends Project sponsored by the Tindall Foundation was held for three years from 2011-2013. Before that, and every year since, the OLG has organised a planting event at Bushy Point. By the September 2024 event more than 35000 native plants have been planted at Bushy Point.
Look out for our planting event every year and contact the OLG if you want to help weed some of these plants - all help appreciated - contact Enable JavaScript to view protected content.
